Being vegan has obviously done wonders for my body; physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I went vegan for a few simple reasons: I wanted to feel better, I didn’t want to be the cause of animals suffering, and I wanted to help the planet. Over the past ten months, I have seen countless testimonials about how going to a plant-based (vegan) diet has helped someone’s serious ailments “magically” disappear. But, is all the hype about going to a plant-based diet (“curing” cancer, reversing diabetes, etc.) actually backed up with solid peer-reviewed research?
I’ve begun to collect various research articles that explore this topic further. I don’t think I can publish the articles and studies in their entirety here on this blog (I have access to them because I recently graduated from the University of Washington). But I will do my best to ensure you can find them on your own if I can’t post an accessible link.
